Bonjour! Welcome to my blog! I am a professor of French since 1999 and love being able to continually deepen my knowledge of the language and cultures of the French-speaking world. A native of Seattle, with both my B.A. and M.A. in French (language and literature) from the University of Washington, I have also spent time in Quebec as an undergraduate student studying French and later for an extended period in Lyon, France, again studying French. I would call myself a genuine francophile, although that’s not to say I have my own critiques as well : ) Curiosity of the world has always been a strong source of inspiration for me and continually motivates me to learn! Open minds open hearts and open hearts open minds!
This is blog created by me for the sole purpose of connecting, enhancing, and enriching your study of French this year. Through our classroom blog announcements will be posted, media files shared, and further explanations of a given grammar point will be provided. It is my hope that you as a student will have a much more rounded experience of studying French through the blog platform. Etes-vous pret? Allons-y!
